For cleaning of metal surfaces, advantageously use a detergent, or mild pH neutral detergent and lukewarm water in a well wrung cloth. Then wipe off with clean water and wipe dry.
To preserve the look and finish you should be aware not to use:
– Alkaline or aggressive cleaners,
– Solvent
– Preparations containing abrasives,
– Abrasive tools.
Remember not to let the cleaners or other liquids on the surface for long. For furniture and surfaces for use in public spaces, it is also important to remember not to use disinfectants that contain a high concentration of alcohol or alkaline substances, such as 70% alcohol. There are disinfectants that can be advantageously used, but that does not affect the painted / varnished surface appreciably. Note that freshly painted surfaces are susceptible to scratching. Surface final resistance is only achieved after about a month. Tape and other foreign substances such as, for example, adhesive and moisturizers can soften the treated surface and cause peeling /paint drop.

The only thing in the brief was ’not too hippy.’ An incense holder is always on display; it must look good but can be a modern industrial object that enhances ones desire for incense. Smudge Tool is an very functional incense holder with a finish reminiscent of a psychedelic rainbow

About the collection
In 2020 a Spiritual Stashbox was launched by Axel Boman, Nicole Palacio and Robin Ekemark under the platform Eyes of My Mind. Eyes Of My Mind is a continuation from a song with the same name released on Axel’s record label Studio Barnhus in 2020 that aims to blur the lines between art, design and modern spirituality, capsulated by their motto: “the only way out is in”. The box contained a range of items for spiritual exploration, including smudge tools like sage, incense, and beeswax candles. When the collection was to be expanded, Massproductions Designer-in-Chief Chris Martin was approached with the idea of creating an incense holder.
The collaboration between Massproductions and Axel Boman began already in 2021 with an audio interpretation of Massproductions’ sofa, BAM!, produced by Axel. Now, they have moved from exploring sound waves to focusing on scent. Today, the incense holder Smudge Tool is presented alongside the custom incense scent, Modernist Spirit.
