The Point tables are a study into the physical characteristics of Corian®, a material which was developed by DuPont in 1967, yet is rarely used other than as a surfacing material.
Indeed the tables are conceived as surfaces in Corian® supported by the thinnest of legs in the same material. This technical feat was achieved with an engineering solution developed during an extensive prototyping phase.
Being made in only one material, we are able to benefit from the durability and weather resistant properties of Corian®, making the Point tables suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. In keeping with the minimal expression of the concept, a minimum of legs are used – three – which gives the tables their characteristic shape. The product is versatile in creating geometric compositions when used in pairs or multiples, and adaptable to work together with sofas of different lengths.
