Pick your favourite from the new E-com collection
Chris: I think it’s the blue fluffy Crown Armchair in the Raf Simons/Kvadrat fabric Silas. The moulded form is so precise and engineered, its nice to balance it out with a less distinctive fabric.

“I like to make practical, functional furniture that is rational for production with a focus on the product rather than myself, all whilst trying not to be as boring as that sounds!”

– Chris Martin,
Designer in Chief

Magnus: I would have to go with the BAM! Sofa. It’s got a strong sculptural expression and is extremely versatile at the same time. The sofa is super comfortable with the complimentary cushions filled with recycled down. On top of that, there is a lot of smartness thought into the product with its flat pack solution that not only benefits the customer but also the environment.

We never think about Massproductions as lifestyle brand, instead we’re always focusing on the object/piece of furniture itself. Our ambition is to add long lasting cultural values to the furniture industry and create pieces that you cherish and like to keep for a very long time.

– Magnus Elebäck,
CO Founder

Where did you find inspiration for the e-com collection?
Magnus: We’re usually spoiled by having talented progressive architects from around the world to choose materials and finishes for our furniture. And now it was all up to us… In line with the idea of putting the object in focus the materials have been picked individually to represent each piece in the best possible way. I’d like to see this as a work in progress and a bit of a laboratory where we can stretch our offering, if only as a limited edition.

Tell us something that no one know about you?
Magnus: Really! Well ok. In my early twenties I went on a road trip around northern part of France. For many years after that I had this idea that at the age of 40 I would retire from design and become a Calvados maker in Normandy. That obviously didn’t happen, but as a matter of fact, I have stated some pretty successful (if I may say so) experiments,on a much smaller scale, from my country house north of Stockholm. But yeah, let’s keep that a secret, shall we.

Chris: I am the 2004 World Champion Snow Sculptur.
