At home with Emma Elwin

We visited Emma Elwin, a freelance consultant in fashion and design, and the co-founder of  the platform Make it last, a creative studio specialising in style and sustainability. In her home, an old porcelain factory outside Stockholm, is a beautiful array of the Dandy collection.

How do you start your day?
Coffee and more coffee. I’m one of those people who love to work in my pyjamas, I don’t think I’m fully awake until after lunch to be honest.

How do you furnish your home in a sustainable way?
I buy high quality or secondhand. I’ve had pretty much the same style (beige and white) so when I find something I love I try to take care of it so it can last forever.

What is your favorite place in Stockholm? (could be a restaurant, café, store, museum etc)
I love the small harbour where  we live in Gustavsberg. The seasons are so beautiful here and when you walk around people greet each other which is really nice.

“I just love the soft shape of the Dandy collection. Is spacious but doesn’t take up too much space at the same time.”

When are you the most inspired?
In the evenings quite late at night. Love staying up to work on creative projects or when I’m painting. But most times I get my ideas when I’m driving.

What do you like about our Dandy Collection?
I just love the soft shape of the Dandy collection. Is spacious but doesn’t take up too much space at the same time. The shape is also great for our apartment that has all these sharp edges, it gives it a softer more organic feel.
